DROWNING IN DEBT? LET US HELP YOU
A Chapter 7 Bankruptcy may be an option to end creditor harassment and give you the fresh start you need.
WHEN TO CONSIDER A CHAPTER 7 BANKRUPTCY
Generally, if you are being garnished (creditors taking money from your paycheck), tired of dealing with creditors, unable to pay creditors, or struggling with your debt, a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy may be right for you. There is no “one size fits all” solution. Each client's case is unique and often requires a different approach. It is important you speak to an attorney for a full case review to see if Bankruptcy is the right choice for you.
WHAT IS A CHAPTER 7 BANKRUPTCY?
A Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is what most people are familiar with in the event of a bankruptcy. A Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is generally a 120-day process where you can eliminate most debt you currently have (exceptions apply). In order to eliminate your debt, a Trustee is appointed to review your assets and to sell assets that are not exempt (protected) by filing a bankruptcy. In most cases, assets clients possess are protected, meaning you do not have to turn it over to a Trustee. After approximately 120 days, you receive a discharge, which means the debt you have has been eliminated and you are rewarded with a fresh start.
