Dan went to Florida State University for undergrad and University of San Diego School of Law. He graduated in 1993 and spent 6 years practicing in the civil arena, handling personal injury, product liability, construction and professional liability cases. In 2000, he joined the San Diego District Attorney’s office. He worked as a prosecutor for ten years. During that time, he handled misdemeanor cases including DUI’s, petty theft, drug possession and domestic violence cases. He also handled hundreds of felony cases involving homicide, sexual assault, crimes against children, burglary, robbery, drug and domestic violence cases. He also spent significant time working on motion and appellate issues, arguing before the 4th District Court of Appeal and preparing motions and arguments to be conducted before the California Supreme Court.
